Anzegem (Vichte) is a village which merged to Anzegem in 1977. The municipality has a rather rural aspect, although it always had a textile tradition and still has a number of SMEs producing textiles.
The water mill "Goed te Walskerke", for the first time mentioned in 1796, is the only working water mill in West Flanders. The Landergemolen is a wooden post mill built in 1781. The mill remained in use until 1942 and was restored in 1971.
At the municipal cemetery there is a yard with British military graves from the First and Second World War and one with those of Belgian victims of World War II..
